Meet The Cast
Alan Anderson – Arthur Aulisi (performer) has been a New York City actor (sometime director, one time playwright) for the past twenty years. Apart from the occasional classic or independent film, Arthur’s passion has been collaborating on new plays. As an original member of adobe theatre company, the Associate Artistic Director of Andhow Theater Company and through his work with companies such as Soho Rep, New Dramatists and Ensemble Studio Theater, Arthur has premiered and helped develop hundreds of works. Current affiliations include Rabbit Hole Ensemble, Hoi Polloi and The Essentials, as well as his ongoing work with Off the Hook (a youth playwrighting program in Red Hook). Arthur was selected by nytheatre.com as a Person of the Year for his contribution to independent theatre.
Janelle Blondell – Jenny Bacon (performer) has performed in New York at the Public, New York Theatre Workshop, MTC, Playwrights Horizons, The Women’s Center, Lincoln Center, Classic Stage Company, Atlantic Theatre and the Variety Arts. She’s worked regionally at places like Steppenwolf, Goodman, Court, McCarter, Yale, Williamstown, The Alley, Seattle Rep, California Shakespeare, Long Wharf, Westport, and Arena. Most recently she premiered Sarah Ruhl’s play STAGE KISS at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. She’s also played various psychos on Law&Order, Law & Order SVU and Law & Order CI, and done a couple other TV and movie things.
Evan Hollander – Ed Herbstman (performer/producer) is an actor and writer originally from Chicago. His voice has been heard on WBEZ’s This American Life, irregularly on WNYC’s Studio 360 with Kurt Anderson, and regularly on The Truth (thetruthpodcast.com) for which he also writes. Ed was also a contributing writer on season two of HBOs Da Ali G Show. In the advertising world, Ed has created award-winning online content sponsored by brands such as P&G, Lincoln, Ford, Cadbury, L’Oreal, and Sun Life Financial. On television, Ed has been seen on Late Nite with Conan O’Brien, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Alpha House (Amazon) and in commercials for Milk, Gum, Shipping, Insurance, Lottery Tickets, Credit Cards, Soda, Hotels, Burgers and Cruise Ships. Ed is a graduate of Northwestern University, was a member of The Second City National Touring Company, and is a former New York City Police Officer (where he once arrested a gun-toting drug dealer for kidnapping a prostitute). In 2005 he co-founded Magnet Theater where he currently performs and teaches improvisation and comedy writing. He lives in Hastings On Hudson, NY with his wife and kids and dog.
Laurie Stanton – Melanie Hoopes (writer/performer/director) is an educator, writer, performer and former cop’s wife. She has toured the country with four different solo shows that examined the Holocaust, immigration, evangelism and most recently, eating disorders. Her solo show, Weight, based on over fifty interviews with women weighing 70 to 1000 pounds, was featured at the New York International Fringe Festival. Before that she was at NYU getting her masters in education and performance while facilitating theater-based workshps on violence prevention and HIV awareness to public high school students in NYC. She loves teaching solo performance at the Magnet and leading storytelling workshops for professionals. She writes the advice column “The Hypocrite’s Almanac” for the Park Slope Reader.
Krista Perlotto – Kelly Coffield Park (performer) has been acting on stage, on television and in films since the age of fifteen. That’s a pretty long while. She is extremely proud to participate in “Laurie Stanton’s Sound Diet”. She has a really terrific husband, two swell kids and lives in Los Angeles.
Eli Janney- Eli Janney (sound artist) is a Brooklyn based audio mixer, engineer, composer, journalist and Dad. Mix those titles up as much as possible and you have his typical week. Born in DC and raised on hardcore punk, he fell in love with a redhead and moved to NYC to make music (see 90s band Girls Against Boys). He is raising two boys, has worked with lots of cool bands and has a lazily composed website at www.elijanney.com.

Kevin Mystery – Konrad Meissner is a drummer who normally plays with singer-songwriters (Syd Straw, Graham Parker, Teddy Thompson), rock bands (Tracy Bonham, The Silos) and pop bands (Matt Nathanson, Katy Perry), but he enjoyed breaking out and providing the scene music for Laurie Stanton. Ethan Sandler – Sandler’s screen credits include The Chocolate War, Flushed, and The Enigma with a Stigma. He can be heard in the 2007 computer-animated film Meet the Robinsons as DOR-15 (Doris), Uncle Fritz, Aunt Petunia, Uncle Dimitri, Uncle Spike, Cousin Laszlo, and CEO of InventCo . From 2002 to 2007 he was in Crossing Jordan as ADA Jeffrey Brandau. He is also a television writer (My Boys, Whitney) and can currently be seen in his new solo play, ‘Artificial Fellow Traveler’, about Nixon and Kruschev’s famous ‘kitchen debate’, the Cola Wars, and his naked fear of the upcoming apocolypse.
